What Is Push Back Pallet Racking

Try Push Back Racks for a new and improved way of storing pallets. This storage system allows you to store pallets on either side of an aisle, so you can store them more tightly together than with other methods. Pallet racking also allows you to stack your products on top of one another. This method means you can get more pallets in the same amount of space than other forms of racking, which in turn allows you to make better use of the space in your warehouse.

How Push Back Racking Works

A pushback rack system contains a pair of rails and carts that are nested. As an example, if you had 4 deep lanes, you would have 3 carts. The first cart is loaded by the forklift on the top rail. Then, when they come back with another pallet, they push back the cart on top and place it on the middle rail. Similarly, they load up the 3rd cart by pushing it back and placing it in front of them on the bottom rail. They then load up their last pallet onto rails 1-3 and can rest easily from their work because all of their pallets are now loaded into carts in order from top to bottom!

Why You Should Use Push Back Racking

Using a push back rack is a good idea because it’s faster to load and unload than any other type of racking system. Having the ability to store different products in the same aisle reduces the possibility of potential damage; in turn, this creates a number of advantages for those who choose to use a push back racking system in their warehouse. It also makes stocking easier because each level can hold a different product. Not to mention, since you don’t have to drive the pallets into place, the chances of either the pallet or product getting damaged are drastically reduced.
